Powerscreen Warrior 800 ready for action

DUNGANNON, NORTHERN IRELAND, 22 September 2009 – Powerscreen, one of the world’s leading providers of mobile crushing and screening equipment, has launched the new Powerscreen® Warrior 800 as part of its new product development programme. The Warrior 800 is the latest addition to the Powerscreen® range of heavy duty screening machines, which includes the Warrior 1400 and Warrior 1800. Later in 2009 the range will be complemented further by the biggest Warrior yet, the Warrior 2400

“The launch of the Warrior 800 underlines our commitment to continuous product development and innovation, even in these more challenging market conditions,” says Pat Brian, Powerscreen Global Director of Sales. “We will continue to invest heavily in our products so that our customers have access to the very best equipment.”

The new Warrior 800 has been designed with the customer in mind. The machine is a multi-purpose heavy duty incline 2-deck screen, capable of stockpiling, 3-way splitting orscalping before and after crushing units. The screenbox will accept a wide variety of screen media making it a versatile machine, suitable for a variety of applications including topsoil, recycling, C&D waste, sand and gravel and aggregates. The Warrior 800 has been designed to accept material feed size up to 400mm (16”) and handle up to 280 TPH capacity, depending upon the application.

Machine features include a low profile feed hopper with rear door for direct feeding from Powerscreen® Pegson XH250 and Powerscreen® Pegson Metrotrak machines without benching. A new 2-deck screen box measuring 2.77m x 1.22m (9’ x 4’), impressive conveyor discharge heights and patent pending folding tail conveyor with integral slide out facility aids screen media changes.

Set-up time and ease of operation are aided by hydraulic folding tail and side conveyors, rigid feed hopper sides and two speed tracks.  A new simple to use electrical control system allows operators to monitor and diagnose the machine on site via an LCD display without specialist tools.

The machine will be available in either tracked or wheeled mobile configurations, with both configurations offering a compact transport footprint with a width of 2.5m (8’ – 2”), minimising transport permit requirements throughout Europe.

The Warrior 800 was previewed at NordBau 2009 and will be exhibited at BAUMA 2010.
