Warrior 1400X Scalper Screening Gold

TG Trucking took delivery of the track mobile scalping screen in May 2015 and is using it to screen and produce material for the gold plants in the East Rand area of South Africa. Companies in the East Rand area are currently recycling redundant gold dumps that have been in the area for almost 100 years, as it was discovered there was still some gold to be recovered. TG Trucking is helping screen the product to recover this gold. In addition, the company produces its own material, -53mm quartzite stone to produce G5 material and -63mm quartzite stone to produce G6 material. TG Trucking, which started as a material handling business , was established by Tony Guerra in 1991. Initially it carried out field service repairs, but in 1997 Tony took a step to buy his own truck, and his fleet grew from there. After an investment in his own yard and the employment of staff, TG Trucking has grown to what it is today, a highly successful business. Wanting to remain competitive in today’s market, Tony met with ELB Equipment to discuss the material he had for processing. Following discussions and an evaluation of the features and benefits of the Warrior 1400X screen Tony decided to invest in the popular Powerscreen machine.

Guerra, said, “I am very impressed with the Powerscreen Warrior 1400X screen and the service I have received from ELB. The machine is easy to operate, easy to move and having achieved an output of 360tph, I am very happy with its operating speed. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone in the industry who wishes to invest in a screening plant. It is helping my business to grow without compromising working ethics and principles.”

Powerscreen Product Manager, Oliver Donnelly, explains why this machine was the right choice for TG Trucking. “The Warrior 1400X screen was designed and built on the rock solid foundations of its predecessor, the highly successful Warrior 1400. Given the abrasive nature of the quartzite stone, the Warrior 1400X screen was an ideal choice given its high specification belts and wear resistant hopper plates, which are designed to handle abrasive material with minimum wear. Launched in 2013, the Warrior 1400X screen offers improved performance, lower operating costs and easier serviceability. It is also designed with economy in mind, with reduced fuel consumption being achieved through a lower engine running speed of 180rpm and enhanced hydraulics. This can translate into a substantial financial saving for customers like TG Trucking over the lifetime of the machine. The variety of media solutions available with this machine means that it is very efficient in scalping, screening and recycling applications.”

For Tier 3 / Stage 3A regions the Warrior 1400X screen is fitted with a Caterpillar C4.4 ATAAC – 4 cylinder diesel engine developing 90kW (120hp) at 1800 rpm while in Tier 4i /  Stage 3B regions the machine is powered by a Caterpillar C4.4 – 4 cylinder diesel engine developing 82kW (110hp) at 1800 rpm.
